Happy New Year!!!

On the eve of not only a new year, but a new DECADE, I pondered what words I could share as wisdom, food for thought, or a prescription for anyone who is seeking a new beginning, a new chapter, or a new calling on their life. It is my fervent prayer that your life is filled with love, laughter, prosperity, friendship and good health!!! God bless you, and together, let’s make 2020 AWESOME!

What I Wish People Knew about Mental Health

It is my hope and prayer that reading this article from iBelieve.com will help those who have loved ones with mental health issues as well as those who suffer in silence. I suffer from PTSD and depression, and for a long time I suffered in silence.

Happy Hanukkah!

Hanukkah, which is Hebrew for “dedication,” is the Festival of Lights.

It commemorates the victory over the Maccabees over the Syrian Greek army, and the subsequent miracle of rededicating the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and restoring its menorah, or lamp.

The miracle of Hanukkah is that only one vial of oil was found with just enough oil to illuminate the Temple lamp for one day, and yet it lasted for eight full days.

Winter Solstice 2019

It happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere (Northern and Southern). For that hemisphere, the winter solstice is the day with the shortest period of daylight and longest night of the year, when the Sun is at its lowest daily maximum elevation in the sky. … The winter solstice occurs during the hemisphere’s winter.

In Desperate Need of Financial Help

I’m not one who easily nor eagerly asks for help. Matter of fact, it’s been drummed into my head since I was a child that asking for help was not acceptable and that in so doing showed others that I was weak and behaved in this manner to get attention.

That being said, I come tonight, swallowing my pride and ignoring those drummed into my head thoughts, and asking for help. I have set up a Gofundme account which explains in detail what my need is and how you can help, if you are so lead and choose to do so. Time is of the essence, as the saying goes, and if a donation of between $10-20.00 is within your budget, I would be grateful for your support as it is my desire to keep “Bethie’s Place” up and running well into 2020 and beyond, provided I can get out from under this financial debt and get the mental health care  for depression and PTSD that I need. Thank you and God bless you for giving. “Bethie”
