A Note About This Week’s Thursday Feature: “Let’s Talk Books”

on October 24, 2019

As I mentioned over my last two Thursday Feature posts, I want to write a short story for you, my readers and followers, as a “Thank You” gift that I will post on my birthday, April 30th, this coming Thursday. The deadline, if you’re interested in participating in less than 12 hours away.

For those who didn’t see the original post, I’ve copied it here:

Hello to all my friends and followers! Tonight I want to especially welcome new followers to my little corner of cyberspace. Last week, I invited my readers to turn to page 168 in the book they were reading, and copy a complete sentence from the 9th line. No need to mention the book or the author. This week, I’m adding a few additional pieces as I create this special story for you. Those pieces are:

1. a character’s name

2. gender and/or age

3. something unique that makes that character stand out to you.

As a writer, I’m always on the lookout for story starters. By the way, the more sentences and characters I receive, the better, so everyone please participate, share, and tell your friends about my blog.

Now, with whatever sentences and characters I receive by Thursday 11/7/19, @ midnight California (USA) time, I’ll work them into a short story (over the weekend) as my gift to you for following my blog which I will post on November 19, 2019.

Note: No real people or characters that may be recognizable like Frodo Baggins (Lord of the Rings trilogy) or one of my favorites, Harry Potter.

First and foremost, have FUN! 😀  I anxiously await (with a clear brain, and typing fingers at the ready) the pieces of the puzzle that you will give me to work with.
