Friday Feature: “Let’s Talk Books”

Welcome friends and followers of “Bethie’s Place”, and the weekly feature, “Let’s Talk Books”! 😀  This week’s topic for discussion is…. drumroll please…. “What Books Are On The Nightstand? The Kindle? The TBR (To Be Read List)?

For me, the books on the nightstand (at the moment) are (in no particular order):

Secrets She Left Behind by Diane Chamberlain

Leaving The World by Douglas Kennedy

Boston Girl by Anita Diamant

Where Do You Get Your Ideas? by Fred White

There are approximately 100 books on the Kindle (a mix of fiction and nonfiction), 15 from NetGallery.com (my newest best friend, lol) and a long list of TBR books.

Okay, you know what my reading list looks like, so let me know about yours…. “Let’s Talk Books”!!! 😀

  1. Hi Ready Player One was last book I read by Ernest Clive. I tried reading Divergent 2 but got bored. How do you have time to read & blog?

    • Hi Janice!
Since February of 2014, I’ve been in and out of hospitals dealing with a serious illness which has left me bedridden until just recently. So, there really wasn’t much else to do but read, and I started blogging last December when a friend recommended it to quell my boredom and keep my spirits up.

  2. Hello Bethie
Having a run on Australian authors at the moment

    On the go
Bad Debts by Peter Temple (Australian)
The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

    Ready to go
Gang of four by Liz Byrski (Australian)
The Secret River by Kate Grenville (Australian)

Just finished The Golem and The Jinni by Helene Wecker as well as Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin. Both good reads
    Take care
    Cathy

  3. On my iPad amongst the million books I am currently reading 52 cups of coffee, warrior of the light, an introverts way (didn’t add the authors🙈)
